My younger sister Karmen is very important in my life. She is not only my sister but she is my best friend. We do almost everything together. Her personality is over the top. I admire how she doesn't care what other people think of her. She is so important to me because I know that she looks up to me and she makes me want to be a better person. I took her pictures around our house because I know that we drive our family crazy because we are always running around the house together. I edited the photos in black and white when she is being serious and let the ones that she is happy and funny in color. I tried to emphasize the mood differences in her. Although she can be difficult sometimes, she is generally such a good person. She always thinks of me wherever she is. Even when she's at the grocery store with my parents, she'll ask to get something just because I like it. I know that no matter how badly I mess up, she'll be there for me. This lighting unit was very interesting to work with because you could manipulate the light to showcase their personality. I tried to use the natural and existing light for her funny personalities. I used the artificial lights for her more serious personality. Even though she doesn't have a mean bone in her body, she can act like a little devil. But, that's what keeps our relationship interesting. We may fight but that's what all siblings do. I really enjoyed this unit because I could really represent her personality through different lighting scenarios. I liked how I could make her face so dark in the one silhouette picture and have it be compared to the really bright happy picture in the middle. I made the smiling picture be the center because that's what most people see about her; but all of the smaller pictures are the personalities that maybe not everyone else sees but me.
The personality of Emma’s model seems to be very goofy, and just in general a very sweet person. I was brought to this conclusion by the different facial expressions the model used, and also the bright lighting in a lot of the shots. She seems to have a more serious side too though, due to the more serious looking faces and the editing done in black and white. The shot are very well taken, they’re really clear, high quality pictures. I also really like how some of the shots seem to be candid. One thing I would suggest is maybe use more full body shots or just different angled shots because all of these are really up close, portrait type pictures.

ReplyDeleteI really like her project. Pictures are so clear and really show Emmas creativity. Her little sister makes all of those silly and cute faces, which is really unique. Emma was successful at capturing photos at the best moment and she hasn’t had any blurriness on her pictures. She did a really good job with the Photoshop. I have no suggestion for Emma her job looks really nice and professional.
ReplyDeleteEmma Anselmo- The personality of the model is happy and seems silly. I think this because in the pictures she seems to be happy, and in one of the photos she’s laughing. Also she is making a funny face in one of the pictures so she doesn’t seem to be a serious person. The photographer was successful at portraying the models personality very well. Also the photos are very well lit. Something you should do for the next time would be to show different angels of the face, and maybe do some shots that aren’t so close to the face.
