Final Project Composition

These pictures represent my daily life. I used the first dark picture of my house at night to represent worm's eye view. I remember thinking my house was so tall and big when I was little. So, it would make sense to take a picture of me looking up at my house. The next picture the the right, is a picture of the mountains I pass going up to my grandparents. This picture represents framing. Personally, I think the trees hide the mountains in the spring and summer, but by winter time, the trees lose their beauty only to show off the mountain's. The next picture on the bottom left is a picture of flowers my boyfriend got me. He gets me flowers once a month just because. The flowers are very meaningful to me. They represent variety because of all of the different, vibrant colors. The next picture is a picture of my shrubs in front of my porch. They never lose their color and look beautiful all year round. This picture represents repetition because of the repeating shapes of the leaves. The shrubs thick green color continues to repeat itself year round. The last picture is of my one dog Dixie. My mom and I always make jokes about how she's dark black and she thinks she can blend into light color furniture. Dixie likes to sit on my ivory colored been bag in my room everyday and just looks so innocent. (But she's not :) ) This picture represent emphasis because of her dark fur up against the light ivory furniture.
These pictures also represent my daily life. I used the blinds and the candle as simplicity. I tried to have a simple white photo with minimal colors in it. The picture is mainly focused on the orange glow coming from the candle. Every morning I wake up, the candles are the first things I see. The next picture to the right of it is our formal dining room. I used symmetrical balance to try to make the picture flow more. We only use this dining room on special occasions or for holidays so this room is always festive. The picture of the strings of the piano represent leading lines. For some reason I am always mesmerized by how the million different direction of strings can make such beautiful music. My friends are very important to me. I spend 6 or 7 days a week with them for 2 and more hours for 11 months so you can imagine how close we become. I used bird's eye view to show two of my really good friends, but try to connect the rest of my team/ second family in the background. Every day I walk off of my porch to get to the bus and the snow was sparkling that morning so I took a picture of it to represent texture. I'm not a big fan of winter but I do love snow when it's a pretty white, sparkly texture.
